Our Story

Tri-State Flooring began serving the floor-covering retailer in 1964 as a component of employee-owned Tri-State Electric in Sioux Falls, SD. In August of 1994, Tri-State Electric decided to sell the company and the flooring division was purchased by current owner, John Rozell. At that time, the company had 12 employees and served retailers in northwest Iowa, southwest Minnesota, a small part of North Dakota and South Dakota. In September 2002, Joe Gaspar joined the company as part-owner and manager of the newly acquired Montana/Wyoming operation managed out of Billings. Joe and his family moved to Sioux Falls in 2008 as Sales Manager and then he became President in 2014. Today, Tri-State Wholesale Flooring serves customers throughout South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming and Montana with its own fleet of trucks and a dedicated staff of over 30 people. Tri-State Wholesale Flooring is located at a 50,000 square foot facility in the northwest part of Sioux Falls. It contains a beautiful showroom, a 50-person seminar and training room to support our growing number of retail customers and a large warehouse. Numerous products and manufacturers, as well as additional coverage area and delivery locations, are continually being added to meet the rising demands of current and new retailers.
